Actual quilt based on "The Threads That Bind" Sculpture, from Ebony Visions. Exceptional art for wall or bed. The Threads That Bind tells the story of Thomas Blackshear's Ebony Visions with significant images from the collection. Highlighting major themes represented in the sculptures over the past 10 years, the block-printed 100 % cotton fabric quilt with polyester fill is pieced together and top-stitched for high-quality detail. 50" tall x 60" wide.

Closer view for the quilt, the first inset is the "Top-stitched detail. The second inset displays the Signature Plaque on Quilt front. The last detail is the Casing across the back for wall display, the rod is not included.

Quilts played a critical role in early African-American history, serving as maps leading slaves to safe houses and ultimatly to freedom in the north. Today, quilters continue to use age-old patterns in new colors as creative art forms.
