At a sacred time, chosen young men eager to prove their manhood are given a beautifully carved rune stone by the elders of the village, upon it scribed omens and wishes by the people of the village. The young man's task takes him over the inhospitable terrain to the very heart of Dragongorge where, with other chosen village members, he lays the sacred stone before the guardian Kaamil who, perched high upon ancient runes laid long past, will guard the villagers request, along with a small offering and will return the young man with a small crystal shard whose power would grant the villagers wishes until the time came for another offering. |
